Artist Statement

As a visual artist, muralist, and architect with over 20 years of experience, my work explores the intersection of habitable space and cultural identity. My practice is rooted in the belief that public art should serve as a mirror to the community, capturing the "pulse" of its people while honoring the architectural soul of the environment.
My artistic vision focuses on translating cultural roots and customs into vibrant, large-scale visual narratives. In the context of NoMa in Color, I aim to create work that resonates with the rhythmic energy of Washington D.C., blending structured architectural perspectives with the fluid, organic movements of urban life. By integrating these elements, I transform static walls into dynamic landmarks that celebrate both heritage and modern connectivity.
Through my murals, I strive to foster a sense of belonging and collective memory, ensuring that each brushstroke contributes to a larger conversation about community, history, and the vibrant future of our shared public spaces.
