Artist Statement

Much of my fiber arts work is donated to the Division of Child Protection & Permanency,HOPE center, and to groups helping the homeless.For the last several years I have helped adjudicate and teach at the Teen Arts Festival of Cumberland County.

Art should be a personal statement. It should invoke an emotional response. I prefer happy experiences created by bright colors, organic shapes and texture. My media and methods vary greatly. I paint with acrylics, make painted paper collages, and create book structures. I design and make jewelry in glass, PMC fine silver, yarn and wire and ceramics. You can often find me with knitting needles or a crochet hook in my hands, making up my own patterns and wearable art designs.
