Jacqueline Donadeo
Artist Statement
I am interested in painting the mundane yet poignant moment of my life as I observe them. My intention is for composition, form, color and value to be the driving force of the images I paint. I am concerned with the totality of the painting and not only a narrative. I use knife, brush and often scrape and sand to reveal process and surface. I paint from direct observation, photos, invention or any visual references that support the work.
I received my BFA in painting from Rhode Island School of Design in 1988. My studio and home are currently in Manasquan, N.J.
