Artist Statement

My painting is an intuitive journey to a much happier and energized self when connecting with nature. As I paint I let go and connect to that creative pulse. I paint abstract expressionist memories of walks in nature or by the shore. On the canvas I am able to move freely as I play with color, mark-making and texture, using acrylics and drawing materials. What comes out is raw, honest and abstract and is a response to experiences with nature and places. I want to share my colorful paintings to create joy and to encourage others to appreciate nature's gifts and protect them.
