Artist Statement

My artwork involves landscapes and still life. I paint directly from life but also utilize photographic images.

I am primarily interested in capturing the duality of life. Whether actively creating or composing constructed situations or by utilizing a found photograph, my concern is to emphasize the ironic quality of our world.
