Artist Statement

Wildlife amuses, charms, fascinates and evokes our humanity. Whether it is some recognition of ourselves in our fellow creatures, or the desire to protect something pure and innocent, wildlife can evoke strong emotions. Using the many methods and techniques offered by clay, my sculptures explore, not only their graceful forms and compelling textures, but also the endearing nature of birds and animals. I hope to communicate and inspire love for and a desire to protect these creatures through my renderings.
