Artist Statement

I have always had a desire to visually interpret and communicate personal experiences, hoping to share private inspirations who those who see my art. I enjoy the process of distilling and recording the fleeting light and movement of specific moments in time. A recurring theme in all of my work is translating into a material presence that which has only been imagined or felt. The tension between what I see and what I perceive serves as a source of continuous and new subject matter for my work, constantly challenging me to balance form with content. My observations have led me to determine that nothing is insignificant; I want those who view my work to see the world through a reinvigorated lens. My focus is on describing images in which spiritual messages seem to be contained within physical settings.
