Artist Statement

I am a figurative artist that works primarily in mixed media and printmaking. Strong points in my work are design, draftsmanship, and color. My work pulls from my southern California upbringing. I use figures mixed with iconic imagery and symbols. The imagery I use comes from my coastal town where I grew up, Catholic/Mexican iconography, Japanese culture and anime, and pop references. My work is linear, bold, and colorful.
