Artist Statement

I paint to create a place you can return to.
Not just a place you see, but a place you feel and where you regain a sense of peace and calm.
My work begins in nature where light, movement, and rhythm have a way of quieting everything else. When I’m there, something shifts. My shoulders drop. My thoughts slow. I exhale. That moment a deeper sense of calm takes over and this is what I carry back into the studio. I’m not trying to replicate a scene exactly as it appears. I’m translating what it felt like to be present there. The air, the movement, the stillness underneath it all.

My faith is a quiet but constant presence in my work. I begin my days in scripture and prayer, and that grounding follows me into the studio. I’m painting what God has already created, interpreting it through light, texture, and rhythm in a way that invites you to experience it for yourself.

Collectors often tell me they experience my paintings in meaningful ways. One shared that after a difficult day, he sat in front of his collection and felt a sense of calm wash over him. That is the purpose of my work.
Not decoration, but restoration. A place to land at the end of a long day, a moment of stillness in a full life, and a quiet return to yourself.

I’ve spent years developing this body of work, painting both en plein air and in the studio, exhibiting nationally, and earning recognition through juried exhibitions and awards. My paintings are held in private collections across the U.S. and internationally, and I continue to refine a style rooted in light, movement, and emotional connection.
If you are creating a space that feels intentional, one that supports how you want to live, think, and feel, then you will understand exactly what these paintings offer.

Take your time. Live with the work. Notice what draws you in.
When you are ready, choose the piece that feels like it was made for you.
