Artist Statement

I am a self taught artist based in Sacramento and San Diego, Ca. with a degree in psychology. Nature is my inspiration, not only for the peace it provides, but also for the interplay of organic elements that create a dynamic energy force. I feel humans are sensitive enough to feel this influence making it incredibly powerful. Nature is my muse. The force of the wind, the racing of the clouds or the sound of water rushing all serve as dynamic elements that inspire a primal instinct in all of us.

I pursued painting as a way to bring myself back to a world of creativity after working for years in government. In doing so, I found a connection through art I'd never felt.

My mission is to encourage others to feel the beauty and connection that nature can provide through artistic expresssion.
