Artist Statement

Title-Abandoned and Forgotten.These images are all from Bodie which is an abandoned gold mining town in the Eastern Sierras most active in 19th century and early 20th century. I was more fascinated in looking through the clouded windows at the interior of a forgotten way of life than at the surrounding landscape. The miners, when they finally gave up and decided to leave, had to do so by horse and wagon which meant they had to leave all behind except for the clothes on their back.
