Artist Statement
Mark “Geo” Thomas is a street photographer looking to bring new insight to common objects. Photography, and all art, is a communication between souls. The paper and arrangement of ink is itself not art. Art is the sharing of experience among us. “Geo” is my pseudonym or artist's alias. “Geo” stands for George, the common man, (as in Aaron Copeland’s Fanfare for the Common Man), and “Geo” stands for geography, which I love. Exploration fills my heart. I am the wanderer.
