Artist Statement

As a photographer, I'm eclectic - I love abstracts, landscapes, travel and street photography, and I’ve also dabbled in wildlife photography. I’ve always enjoyed live concerts and photographing musicians as they perform, and now I have added dance performances into the mix.

My goal when taking a photograph is to record a moment that has something special about it. Depending on the subject, this might include the light, expression, pose, pattern, colors, movement, texture, or a scene that tells a silent story. I also like to create my own version of what I see by using various camera techniques, such as slow shutter speeds, multiple exposures, or out-of-balance exposures.

I hope that viewers pause to look a little deeper and find something appreciative, beautiful, compelling or, inspirational in the images I’ve created.
