Artist Statement
As a Contemporary Black artist's my aesthetics are a mixture of American and African signs, symbols, images and characteristic, representing the connectiveness and similarities within the Diaspora. As a mix medium artist, using glass as my primary material, I frequently incorporate found materials such as metal, wood, fabric and recyclable objects into the glass pieces I create. This mixture embodies who we are in the Diaspora and where we come from.
