Artist Statement

My paintings often reflect the tonality of current times. The use of color is important to me as we have emotional responses often based on those cues. My themes are reflective of how personal our struggles in life can become.
I spent 30 years as a creative problem solver in the world of advertising. Problems were solved on time tables. Life doesn't work that way and so many things are beyond our control. The sentiment in my art depicts paths that can be stormy, lonely, challenging with a layer of sarcasm. Often solutions that don't ever seem to come.
