Artist Statement

My aim as a painter is to achieve a design inspired by an intimate interpretation of nature, grounded in
an ongoing exploration of the tradition of image making. Light for me is an event. On-site painting is
intoxicating and a key procedure to my process. I use the information of on-site painting to direct and
fuel my studio projects.
