Artist Statement

Having graduated from Pratt Institute with a BFA in Illustration I found my real love was in textile design. I spent over 30 years creating home and hotel textiles. I worked worldwide in factories supervising printing and weaving and sewing of my products which has affected my painting how I approach the design and see the patterns in nature .
I had lived in Maine for the past 45 years . I have used my Maine photos as reference and inspiration for my paintings.This year I sold my property and am adjusting to NY life. My love for nature that was cultivated all these years has been the greatest gift.
I have exhibited at Pemaquid Art Gallery ,River Arts, Damariscotta Me, Boothbay Region Art Gallery. Had solo exhibitions at Pemaquid Watershed Assoc. , Miles Memorial Gallery, Harrison Library, NY, Bendheim Gallery Greenwich Ct,( received award) Sandra Morgan Gallery Greenwich Ct. , Portland Art Gallery.
