Artist Statement

In my artistic journey, I have experimented with how to portray my photographic images in a unique way. Through the use of textiles, I capture rhythms,shapes and delicate patterns I find in my photographs. Sometimes I combine the stitching handwork of my childhood with the technology of today to bring out the beauty of each image. Or, sometimes I enjoy the timelessness and basic components of a black and white image. I enjoy pushing the boundaries of materials sometimes going into other creative disciplines. The intention of my work is to bring the natural world to viewers in a unique way to further their relationship with our fragile earth.
