Kings Mountain Comfort Creators

Artist Statement

Utilitarian comforters made by the Kings Mountain Comfort Creators, residents and friends of Kings Mountain. Comforters are constructed of donated fabric and yarn, new fiberfill, and new or donated bed sheets. Sometimes special ones are made to sell to raise funds to purchase supplies. These are some of them. Otherwise, comforters are given to those in need. The usual recipients are the farm workers and low-income clients of Puente (mypuente.org) in Pescadero.
