Artist Statement
I create my unique ceramic sculptures and pottery using wheel thrown and slab construction techniques. Sculptural pieces are fired at a variety of temperatures and may include some mixed media elements. Porcelain and white stoneware are the clay bodies used and pieces are made in a traditional manner with a bit of a creative twist. My work is inspired by the events and experiences of daily life as well as the beauty of the surrounding Tahoe and Great Basin areas and their abundant life forms. As my dialog with clay has developed over the years I find working with clay to be a lifetime commitment that grows more rewarding with each passing year.
