Artist Statement

I was attending a workshop at the Scottsdale Art School and stumbled up the "Parada Del Sol" and annual parade through Old Town. I literally chased these dancers down the street photographing them as their beauty and grace inspired me so much. I had to paint their beautiful celebration! The Sacramento Fine Arts Center is celebrating their 40th and I hope my paintings create the feeling of celebrating that will be occurring then. Victoria Brooks
