Artist Statement

The more realist approach to my work is informed by spending many years as a textile designer, combining images in a two dimensional artwork, sometimes adding mixed media elements for texture, color or surprise. Textiles, the use of fabrics and hand sewing techniques can add elements to the work that show the "artist's hand" as well as creating a more personal feel.

My work becomes a way of sharing something that interests me, whether is is a scene, an object or a person who has inspired me.
