Artist Statement

My focus has been the landscape, whether of the Catskills Mountains/Hudson Valley of New York State, where I live, or favorite places I regularly visit, including Italy where each year I host a workshop for artists. The special appeal of the landscape is the effect of light on natural and man made forms within it.

Favorite media include oils, watercolor, and various forms of printmaking.
