Artist Statement

I design and hand fabricate two styles of contemporary jewelry.
For the last 30 years I have designed and hand fabricated a line of Japanese Mokume Gane. I make all of my own Mokume Gane metals in a furnace in my studio. Mokume offers me a broad organic pallet of patterns, layers & textures. I embellish my designs with semi-precious stones and freshwater pearls.
Starting about 10 years ago I added an additional line of contemporary classic necklaces, bracelets and earrings made with semiprecious beads, 14&18K gold, and well as sterling silver.
My work blends Asian & Egyptian contemporary design concepts resulting in a blend of wearable, contemporary classic pieces. Custom orders are welcome.
