Marianna Baker
Artist Statement
Marianna Baker is a contemporary fiber artist whose work melds traditional practices with feminist perspectives. Known for her strong political messaging, she explores themes of identity, social justice, and resilience through textile designs and experimental embroidery. Her art has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the San Francisco Jewish Contemporary Museum of Art, Oceanside Contemporary Museum, and various galleries throughout Los Angeles, USA, and Mexico. Drawing on personal and cultural narratives, Baker creates thought-provoking pieces that challenge societal norms and inspire change.
