Artist Statement

David Ebner, recognized by Wired Magazine as one of Hollywood’s most creative minds, brings his rich visual storytelling from the silver screen to the canvas. With over 70 film credits and collaborations with cinematic legends like Spielberg, Scorsese, and Fincher, Ebner now channels his deep well of emotion and imagination into fine art. His work spans watercolor, oil, pastel, and acrylic, painted on surfaces ranging from canvas to ceramic. Each piece is guided by the emotion it seeks to evoke, with unique mark-making techniques and textures that enhance its expressive power.
Beyond his paintings, Ebner also serves on the board of directors of the Silicon Valley Visual Arts Association, helping to expand its involvement into the artist community. Ebner also experiments with other mediums such as enamels and intricate kiln-fired ceramic mosaics, all produced in-house with the same dedication and artistry that defined his film career.
