Artist Statement

White Pelican Designs jewelry by Cathryn and Keith Bassett, is a fusion of modern - slightly avant garde - sculptured art with classic lines. Each piece is handmade and original, often built around and inspired by the dramatic quality of our gemstone collection. We strive to create designs that are bold, beautiful and graceful. We work in sterling silver, 14 and 18 karat gold and 24 karat gold leaf - using hot and cold connection. Fabrication techniques include soldering, forging, fusing, reticulation dapping, Keum boo, oxidation.
