Artist Statement

Through creativity one feed's the soul by empowering one's individual and unique spirit...
I am a fiber artist, passionate about working with surface design to create compelling, aesthetic and meaningful imagery on cloth that is rich in color, texture, line, movement and pattern.
I am inspired by all the miracles in Nature, my loving family, worldly events and wanderlust!
Through mixed media I digitally manipulate and process photographs and/or scanned dyed cloth to create my artwork.
Although some planning and sketching is involved in my artwork, I ultimately work intuitively as the seductive magic of the processes unfolds and I build layer upon layer until satisfied.
While creating art cloth I strive for the moon and catch many stars along the journey!...
