Artist Statement

I am a painter and printmaker. My paintings are done in oil. Still lifes are painted from life in my studio.My printmaking includes etching, drypoint, Serigraphy and monotype. Monotypes done using gelatin as the plate and painted directly on the gelatin. Very painterly and tonal effects can be acheived. The prints are done using BFK Rives paper placed on the painted gelatin and rubbed lightly. The print is the reverse of the gelatin image.
