Artist Statement

I am a watercolor artist who strives for a relaxed and loose technique. My architectural background has complimented my style. The art process of conceptualizing buildings has influenced my awareness of shape, form and colors in watercolor painting. I use typical street scenes and landscapes to explore ways of letting color and value merge with accidents of the medium. I use the wetness of watercolor to give emotion to the subject.
