Artist Statement

I have resided in California all my adult life and now live in the city of Roseville. I have a BA in Fine Arts from California State University, Sacramento and have studied at Western Illinois University.



I have worked in many art mediums, including oil, watercolor and acrylic painting, stained glass and ceramics. I now concentrate on paintings in dry pastels.



My work has been accepted in multiple juried exhibitions and has been purchased by Western Illinois University and private collections. Recent shows include the Marin Society of Artists, Vacaville Art League & Gallery, Riverfront Art Gallery (Petaluma, Ca), Pastel Society of the West Coast, Pastel Society of Oregon, Northwest Pastel Society, Lodi Community Arts Center, Placer Arts, Rocklin Fine Arts, Roseville Civic Center, Sierra Pastel Society, Sacramento Fine Arts and the KVIE Art Auction 2011 & 2012. My work has recently received awards from the Vacaville Art League & Gallery, Pastel Society of the West Coast, Sacramento Fine Arts (Northern California Arts), Placer Arts, Rocklin Fine Arts and KVIE Art Auction. My studio is located within the Packing Shed Studios in Newcastle, California.
