Artist Statement

I find myself exploring the joyful edge between representation and abstraction. Loving the Bonnard quote that 'The Precision of naming takes away from the uniqueness of seeing.' I am searching for those moments.

Painting gives me perspective on life and on the world. My intention is to see shapes of color in space and arrange them into something visually exciting with a touch of mystery. My perspective is always changing and so is the the world. New visions, new problems, and new solutions. Anything is possible. Painting sustains my soul.
