Artist Statement

My artist style is painterly crossed with and sometimes a animee flavor. I use textures and shapes to capture a form or moment in time; maximizing on the different types of paint and mediums to portray the many different levels of our existence through texture. I love to paint faces and bodies and find myself constantly observing how shadows define eyes, nose, mouth, chin and brow.

My goal for you as an observer of my art is to draw you into the painting, either through the eyes or with the energy that the painting creates. I aspire to capture that moment in time for you that takes you to the place where when you just escape for those few moments in time, for it was those moments that have made up our lives so far.
