Artist Statement

Hidden Mythology is an interdisciplinary body of work exploring the unseen narratives that shape human identity. Combining sculpture, textiles, wearable art, relic-making, photography, and immersive installation, the project investigates mythology not as ancient history but as a living force that continues to influence contemporary life.
The work examines the symbolic structures that exist beneath everyday experience: inherited beliefs, personal rituals, cultural memory, archetypal identities, and the stories we tell ourselves to navigate uncertainty and transformation.
Using reclaimed textiles, altered materials, found objects, natural processes, and hand-built forms, I create sculptural artifacts that appear excavated rather than manufactured. These objects function as relics from an imagined civilization—a culture that never existed yet feels familiar because it reflects universal human experiences.
