Artist Statement

My artistic practice is a continuous exploration of movement, transformation, and the emotional resonance of solid matter. Working primarily with clay, wood, and mixed media, I seek to challenge the inherent rigidity of dense materials, imbuing them with fluid rhythm, organic flexibility, and vital energy.

Having embraced sculpture as a deeply liberating calling later in life, I view form not as a static boundary, but as a dynamic vessel for living motion. My creative process relies on a direct, tactile relationship with the material—using texture, volume, and the interplay of light, shadow, and negative space to generate a sense of internal tension. Bridging organic abstraction and the human figure, my sculptures evoke themes of identity, vulnerability, and continuous transformation.

Designed to be experienced in three dimensions, each piece invites the viewer to move around it, discovering shifting perspectives and emotional nuances from every angle. Ultimately, my work aims to dissolve the perception of matter as inert, offering a space where form guides the observer toward an intuitive, deeply felt connection.
