Artist Statement

Inspiration can be found in the most unexpected places. I draw from the vibrant color stories of a magazine as often as the ever-changing light in nature. Rather than replicating what I see, I translate those colors, shapes, and moments into expressive paintings that capture their energy and emotion. Working with acrylic and oil pastel, I create contemporary compositions through layered surfaces, bold mark-making, and rich color. My work balances spontaneity with intention, inviting viewers to slow down, explore, and form their own connection with the natural world.
