John Consedine
Artist Statement
I shape wire into forms that feel alive in their movement — branches reaching, currents rising, gestures caught in the moment before they shift again. My work begins with natural motion: the way a tree leans toward light, the arc of a stem, the quiet tension inside a bloom. Each sculpture grows through layering, bending, and balancing lines until the piece finds its own internal rhythm. I’m drawn to the meeting point between structure and fluidity — where something rooted can still feel like it’s in motion. My goal is to create forms that feel familiar yet newly seen, pieces that hold a sense of presence, breath, and upward energy. I create sculptures for people who want unique, expressive art in their homes - pieces that feel alive, atmospheric, and deeply personal
