Artist Statement
Recently, I have been diving deep into surrealist objects merged with surface exploration and exploration of how the clay can deliver feelings, emotions, and lost memories. My ceramics are intended to trigger a response. Some of the work is editorial, reflecting our current political and social climate. Some are from a dream. Some are muses from those dreams. Most spark story telling. If you are moved to take a second, closer look. I ask you: Does the work trigger: Smiles? Confusion? Revulsion? Reflection? Curiosity? Your response is valid.
