Artist Statement

I paint the space between where I stand and where I long to be to invite viewers into my inner journey and creative process.
Not the destination, the distance itself. The longing that has no clean resolution, the threshold that hasn't opened yet, the road that asks you to move before you feel ready.

My work is deeply rooted in nature, not as background but as language. Green is weight. Yellow is will. Pink is the audacity to call a hard thing lovely. I layer color the way we layer experience; nothing fully covers what came before.
I build each painting through collage first, tearing, selecting, and placing, until something true begins to take shape. The cycle deepens, reflecting a continuous journey that invites viewers to appreciate persistence and growth.

I paint because I believe the interior life deserves a landscape that reveals its hidden light and emotional depth.
