Artist Statement
Art is not a hobby for me—it is a necessity. My work emerges from a state of internal unrest, shaped by what I witness: inequality, displacement, and the quiet violence of neglect. These realities build a pressure I cannot resolve directly, but confront through the act of making.
My process is immediate and instinctive. I begin with an empty surface, allowing each line to guide the next. The work unfolds in a single rhythm—urgent and physical—where forms emerge as both constructed and fractured. Each gesture becomes both a release and a record of tension.
Drawing inspiration from the Indus Valley Civilization, Mohenjo-Daro, I explore the imbalance between privilege and survival. My work reflects a world where access and dignity remain uneven, where systems sustain excess for some and scarcity for others.
Rather than offering resolution, my practice insists on presence. It is a form of silent agitation—an internal resistance made visible.
