Artist Statement

hannaHs illustration practice is built around womanhood and female homosexuality; a detailed perspective on how these placements effect a simultaneous inception and loss of individuality. How the individual is situated on the line between the internal and external. Her subjects draws on this tension and bring form to her anxieties around love and selfhood within the labels of “woman” and “gay”.
hannaHs paint practice deals with experimentation in architecture as a lens through which to view a culture's masculinity and hierarchies.
