Artist Statement
I paint bouquets, interiors, Provençal landscapes, and still lifes that travel from digital studies to slow, physical oil on canvas paintings. AI functions as a sketchbook for testing color, pattern, and composition;
My practice positions itself beyond Postmodernism. I acknowledge its critique of grand narratives, yet I resist permanent irony and aesthetic relativism. Instead, I align with a Neomodern return to seriousness, in which painting can still aim at beauty, emotional depth, and a genuine sense of spiritual presence.
My Ethos focuses upon: 1.Craftsmanship, 2.Composition, and 3.sublimity, or what I call Majesty—the point at which a picture achieves enough wholeness and radiance to hold the viewer in aesthetic arrest.
