Artist Statement
I create paintings that exist somewhere between instinct and intention.
My work is rooted in abstract expressionism, where emotion takes precedence over representation and every mark becomes a record of energy, movement, and experience. Layers are built, erased, and rebuilt, allowing each painting to evolve organically rather than follow a predetermined outcome. The process is as important as the finished work.
Color is my language. Texture is my history. Gesture is my voice.
Influenced by the rhythm of contemporary life, architecture, music, and human emotion, I create bold, immersive compositions that invite viewers to bring their own narratives into the work. Rather than offering answers, each piece creates space—for reflection, tension, curiosity, and possibility.
Based outside Philadelphia with a studio in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, I have spent more than two decades refining a practice that embraces risk, intuition, and transformation. Professionally trained at Temple University and the Tyler School of Art, my work continues to push beyond convention, balancing refined technique with raw expression.
Every collection represents a moment in time, an emotional archive translated through color, movement, and material. Whether acquired as part of a series or created as a commission, each painting is conceived as a singular statement designed to resonate long after the first encounter.
Art should challenge. It should provoke. It should leave a lasting impression.
That is the work I make.
