Artist Statement

I have been painting for several years from a studio at my home. I have sold some of my paintings and completed several commissions. I am a member of the Eastern Shore Art Center in Fairhope AL. I love the beauty of the gulf coast and surrounding area. My main interest is Landscape/seascape paintings. I also like to paint scenes of a historical nature. A good number of my references are personal photographs from travels and vacations. I continue to learn new techniques and have taken classes from different artists in the area. I started painting with acrylics, but now mostly with oil.
