Artist Statement

My work focuses on the overlooked details of automobiles from the 1920s and 1930, particularly fuel and filler caps that were once designed with the same care and intention as architecture, furniture, and industrial design. Each cap carries its own geometry, proprtion, texure, and patina. With these photographs we should consider the automobile not as a single unified object but as a collection of thoughtfully designed parts.
