Artist Statement

I work through intuition, touch, and repetition, allowing layers to gather like memory settling into the surface. Reclaimed and repurposed materials guide the process, carrying quiet histories that shape each piece as it unfolds. As a Latinx, neurodivergent artist and late-diagnosed autistic person, I follow nonlinear rhythms in which pauses, shifts, and returns become part of the language of making. My practice is rooted in care, access, and lived experience, shaped by years in education and advocacy. Each work becomes a meeting place between material and emotion, where texture speaks, time is visible, and what was once overlooked is held, reconsidered, and given space to belong.
