Artist Statement

As an artist/ educator, I have always experimented with varied materials. However, it's only recently that I've begun to show some of those works. I have identified primarily as a sculptor for many years, so that's where my focus has been. In addition to teaching, I have worked on public sculpture for the City of Boston, and started a print on demand shop on the Redbubble platform, during the Covid shutdown. Over the past few years, collage and other forms of mixed media have captured much of my attention, as they demand a constant changing of approaches. I am excited that I have been able to find a way to explore color, combining varied paint and print application methods with my love of drawing.
