Artist Statement

I approach painting as a way to express my ever-changing inspirations and interests.
Sometimes, I am drawn to vibrant colors and choose to paint flowers, immersing myself in
their lively hues. There are moments when I seek inspiration from others, which leads me
to create portraits of people I admire. Landscapes also captivate me, especially those
depicting places I have lived or aspire to visit, allowing me to explore both memory and
imagination through art.
My process often begins with an acrylic wash, establishing the mood and atmosphere I
want to convey in each piece. I build upon this foundation with layers of oil paint and
incorporate wax to add texture and depth. By using both small brushes and palette knives,
I bring a balance of loose and detailed brush strokes to my work, enriching the visual
experience with variety and contrast.
The purpose behind my art is to evoke joy and peace. Much of my work stems from
imagining what I would want to see at the end of a long day, striving to create scenes that
offer comfort and tranquility. Through my chosen color palettes and imagery, I hope my art
inspires a sense of calm and happiness for viewers.
