Artist Statement
When April rolls around, plein air season begins. In the studio, I challenge myself in one direction; in the field with my plein air easel, I challenge myself in a different direction. I cannot slow down, but must grab the light and shadow play in a few short hours.
I've painted plein air since 2016 and continue to find it frustrating, invigorating, and satisfying.
