Artist Statement

Focusing on landscape and animal photography, I often find myself outdoors. I will explore on and off trail to look for stunning scenes and unique moments. These fleeting memories can live on through my chosen media. Whether it’s sitting beside a waterfall taking in the sounds of the rushing water or having a lizard perk up and dance to scare you out of its territory, a photograph can transport you back in time.
Growing up in the tri-state area, I’ve always felt an urban rush around me. Everyone is moving so fast they often miss the details surrounding them. Photography forces me to slow down and appreciate what is around me. The practice of taking in my surroundings brings me joy and helps me feel connected.
